10 Things I've Been Putting Off

Today I marginally decided to do 10 things that I'd been putting off. You know, those things that just never get done. I got 9 done. So I am a pretty happy girl. How many more things have I been putting off? Don't ask.

10 Things Not Put Off Any More!

1. Glue broken Easter decorations
2. Sew Andrew's broken tie (he missed it for a few Sundays)
3. Finish reading my Great-great-Grandfather's biography (he emigrated from Switzerland, had 3 wives, was the German-Swiss Mission President twice, lived in Providence, Utah and Paris, Idaho where he was the first mayor. Fancy, huh.)
4. Swept (with help from Scott) and mopped my kitchen
5. Swept (with a lot of encouragement for Scott) and mopped my kitchen (easily counts for 2)
6. Made banana bread with those really nasty looking bananas (well, I did that yesterday, but I ate it today!)
7. Spray painted a frame white that has been hanging mismatched in Charity's room
8. Planted the rest of my wheat grass (the pots planted Wednesday are already shooting up!)
9. Painted my toenails. Yea Spring!
10. Guess what, I didn't do 10. It was fold a bunch of loads of laundry that have been piling up. Do you have any idea how much laundry a family of 7 produces? Okay, a lot of you do. But it is monstrous! That one will have to wait for another day.

Crazy house, crazy me

Do you ever feel that you become an extension of your house? When my house is all calm and clean and happy, so am I. When my house is crazy, cluttered, and chaotic, so am I. And that is how it is right now. Boxes everywhere, miscellaneous Christmas decorations without a home lying around, piles of mail mocking me and no end in sight. That is how I feel today. Like my house.

Jane Austen font

I just found a fabulous new free Jane Austen font via Emily Style. Now I can write in Jane Austen's handwriting, if not her witty words.

Cell phones, cheap

Ha you may say. But we just renewed our plan. We talk as much as we need and want. We have rollover minutes for a whole year. We paid $7.20 a month last year.

Sweet. It's a go phone from T-Mobile. I'm so glad we finally went for it. We bought another 1000 minutes for the coming year. Last year we used just under that. Yea for no commitment and low low fees.

Just thought I'd share.

And did you know that the Happy Hands Club of Preston, Idaho recently visited Manhattan and a deaf branch there. Their picture at American Idol premiered in the LDS Church News. I'd post a picture, but alas and alack, I can't find one. But picture Napoleon not there and you get an idea. (Sweet girls doing sweet things. Really.)

Rockin' out late (at least for a school night)

Shopping is hard

with kids. I dash off between dropping my kindergartener off and picking her up. We drive to the mall, kids complain about being hungry(30 minutes after breakfast?), can't squeeze between racks with my monster, but very neccessary, jogging stroller, face all sorts of shouted questions about how I feed babies while I try on swim suits that squelch my great feelings about the 8 pounds I've lost. Whew. Back at it after lunch. What's a girl/mom/wife to do?
