Potty training

It's that time, time for wet floors and poopy undies. Not a puppy, just a three-year-old cutie who refuses to poop in the potty.

Pee, going pretty well. Any ideas?

My friend Jessica gave her son a huge fire truck when he pooped in the toilet. Everyone was thrilled.

Just this morning I resorted to this. I promised him we could go to the store and pick out a toy if he pooped. Hasn't worked yet.

Poop is the hardest part as I'm sure you already know. I've always made an absolute fool out of myself with joy and excitement. I go crazy and immediately drop everything and go get ice cream or whatever they love. Make a big deal about other kids his age that do it and how big they are. Lots of positive reinforcement seemed to work great for mine. I use to teach pre school and had some stragglers that refused to go. Acting like an idiot full of excitement worked well for them, too. You could even throw a party. Of course acting really sad and disappointed seemed to work better for me when the accidents happened rather than getting mad. Just my thoughts, but as you already know every single kid is different and something different works for one child but not another. You'll find out what it is. Just keep on trucking and you'll find that one thing that he needs for motivation. Good luck!!!
